Starting with tax year 2015, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires large employers such a BCPS to supply all benefit eligible employees with IRS Form 1095-C.  Employees do not have wait until they receive IRS Form 1095-C to file their taxes.  The purpose of the form is to give both BCPS employees and the IRS information about the health care plans that were offered to employees and their dependents.

IRS Form 1095-C is scheduled to be sent to benefit eligible employees' home addresses in early March.  This form provides health insurance information to the IRS about all employees who are benefit eligible under ACA regulation, in addition to all employees and their dependents who currently receive benefits through BCPS.
