BCPS provides eligible employees the ability to convert a portion of their personal illness absence time to family illness absence time for the documented illness of an immediate family member. Immediate family is defined in the bargaining unit agreements.
If an employee is eligible for
FMLA, conversion of personal illness leave runs concurrently with approved
FMLA.
