Health Improvement Tour

CIGNA's Health Improvement Tour is coming to BCPS on Sunday, November 4th!

The Health Improvement Tour (HIT) is a  CIGNA owned mobile clinic that brings free biometric screenings and health coaching.  The purpose of the Health Improvement Tour is to arm employees with relevant information about their health, and provide them with resources to address any issues that they may currently be experiencing. 

The HIT bus contains 5 private screening rooms.  The following tests will be administered during the HIT to participants:

  • Non-fasted blood sugar
  • Non-fasted cholesterol
  • Blood pressure
  • Body-Mass Index

The HIT bus will be parked on the Greenwood campus of Baltimore County Public Schools from 9am-5pm.  The Greenwood campus is located at 6901 North Charles Street, Towson, MD 21204 in the parking lot of Building E.

A limited number of participants can register for the HIT.  Employees who register and complete the biometrics screening will earn a $25 e-gift card for their participation.

To Register:

  • Visit the My Quest For Health portal
  • Create an account using the following information:
    • Registration Key: CignaHIT2018R
    • Enter Unique ID: Your First Name, Last Name
    • Enter your Date of Birth
    • Enter Relation: Employee 
  • Once you have completed creating an account:
    • Under the Wellness Screening section select: Make an Appointment
    • Select: Baltimore County Public Schools
    • Select the time you'd like to attend your free health screening

2. Will medical data be shared with my employer?
BCPS will receive a de-identified aggregate report showing the overall health of the total population screened during the HIT’s visit to BCPS. Results shown on this report are completely anonymous and can’t be traced back to a specific employee. Also important to note that employee results are not shared with Cigna.

3. Do I need to have Cigna insurance through BCPS to participate?

You do not need to be a Cigna customer to participate at the HIT event

4.  Do I need to have insurance through BCPS to participate?
You do not need to be insured by a BCPS plan to participate at the HIT event.

5. Can my dependents participate as well?
Dependents may participate and are encouraged to participate, however they will be not be eligible for the $25 e-gift card incentive.

6. Are children permitted to participate or is this an adults only event?
Only participants 18 years or older can be screened at a HIT event.

7. How many people can the HIT accommodate?

CIGNA's HIT bus can accommodate 175 participants throughout the day at the event.
