All BCPS offices will have a limited staff to accept incoming calls until June 22, 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you are unable to reach staff by phone, please send an email to hrstaffing@bcps.org.  Your email will be forwarded to the appropriate staff member for response.

The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) is responsible for two primary functions:
(1) investigating complaints and charges of discrimination based upon discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; and
(2) resolving requests for workplace accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The EEO office also conducts presentations and trainings to supervisors and staff members on discrimination, sexual harassment, workplace conflict resolution, and workplace accommodations.

For information about ADA accommodations, procedures, and forms, go to the ADA Forms and Procedures tab below.

COVID-19 RETURN TO WORK CONCERNS FOR EMPLOYEES

The EEO Office, as well as other offices within the Division of Human Resources, has received several inquiries about returning to a physical workspace during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have received many questions from employees who believe they are in a vulnerable population (due to pre-existing medical conditions or age); employees with family-care and childcare concerns; and employees who do not feel safe returning to work at this time. The EEO Office has attempted to address those common concerns by providing answers to Frequently Asked Questions. FAQs for Covid-19 Return to Work Concerns is provided in the tab below. If after reading the FAQs, you still have questions about your specific circumstances, please contact the appropriate office (as identified in the FAQs) to address your needs.
