Benefits, Leaves and Retirement

Open Enrollment is October 1-31, 2018!

Open Enrollment is the annual time period in which employees can make any changes to their benefits package.  It's important to review your current benefits selections, or consider adding or removing benefits to ensure your benefits package is meeting your needs.

  • 2019 Employee Benefits Guide - Provides complete details of benefits offered by Baltimore County Public Schools
  • Open Enrollment At a Glance - Provides dates and time for informational sessions, webinars, and directions on how to make benefit changes, or enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • What's New for 2019 - Provides information about new enhancements and additional optional benefits.
  • Rates for 2019 - Provides rates for medical, dental and vision coverage for employees hired before December 31, 2018.
  • Benefits Enrollment/Change Form - This form must be submitted with any dependent verification information to complete your benefits enrollment.

 

Not making changes for 2019?

Employees who are not making any changes to their benefit elections do not need to take any action.  

Want to set aside FSA funds for 2019?

Employees who wish to enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) must enroll for 2019.
To enroll in a FSA plan during Open Enrollment  (either health care or dependent care) please visit the Benefit Strategies Portal. Employees must use their Employee ID found on the home screen of ESS, under General Information.  Social security numbers may not be used. For troubleshooting assistance, please call 1-888-401-3539.

Optional benefits open for enrollment

New this year, employees will have the opportunity to enroll in Voluntary Whole Life, and/or Critical Accident Insurance.  For more information about the coverages and costs, contact the Warner Company directly at 877-433-2384 or email service@lwarner.com.
