EEO Investigations
The EEO office is responsible for the following:
Investigates workplace complaints of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, genetic information, disability, veteran’s status, or any other protected basis under federal, state, or local laws.
Receives and investigates external complaints and charges of discrimination filed by employees with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, and the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights.
Provides guidance to employees who are experiencing EEO- related problems in the workplace.
Reviews workplace conflict issues and offers guidance to supervisors on conflict resolution, training opportunities, and progressive discipline.
Oversees an internal complaint process for employees.
